What is Ellacor and how does it work?
Ellacor is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment that uses Micro-Coring™ technology to remove tiny micro-cores of skin. This process triggers natural healing and collagen production, leading to visibly firmer, smoother skin without thermal energy or invasive surgery.
What areas can Ellacor treat?
Ellacor is FDA-cleared for use on the mid and lower face, including the cheeks, mouth area, and jawline. However, it can also be used (off-label) on the body to improve skin laxity on areas like the abdomen, arms, thighs, and above the knees.
How long is the downtime after Ellacor?
Most patients experience 3 to 7 days of redness, swelling, or mild bruising. You can typically return to normal activities within a week, depending on your skin’s response and the treatment area.
How many treatments will I need?
Many patients see noticeable results after just one session, but a series of 2 to 3 treatments spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.
Does Ellacor hurt?
Ellacor is performed with local anesthesia to keep you comfortable during the procedure. You may feel light pressure or vibration, but most patients report minimal discomfort.
When will I see results?
Initial improvements in skin texture and firmness may be visible within a few weeks, with full results developing over the next 3 to 6 months as collagen remodeling occurs.
Am I a good candidate for Ellacor?
Ellacor is ideal for adults 22+ with mild to moderate skin laxity and wrinkles. It is currently best suited for Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV (light to medium skin tones). A consultation is required to determine if Ellacor is the right fit for your skin and goals.
