What is Lumecca?
Lumecca is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) that delivers up to 3X more energy in the 500-600 nm range to improve efficacy for vascular and pigmented lesions. The laser is set to target dark brown and red spots as well as vessels and veins. It is the Gold Standard treatment for Rosacea. It also improves fine lines and pores by stimulating collagen production. It is one of the best anit-aging treatments on the market!
Who is the best candidate for a Lumecca?
Anyone looking to address the following skin conditions is a good candidate for a Lumecca IPL: brown/red blemishes, sunspots, age spots, vascular redness, broken blood vessels, Rosacea, and mole-like discolorations.
What is the recovery like?
After a Lumecca treatment, you may experience age spots and freckles looking darker for the first 3 – 7 days, which is normal. In a magnifying mirror, they appear to look like hundreds of coffee grounds and these will begin to flake off in 7 – 10 day. You can cover these areas immediately with make-up resulting to no downtime. You might experience slight redness like a sunburn. If you are being treated for Rosacea with the Lumecca, you can expect bruising that may last up to 3 weeks, but once again, this can be camouflaged with make-up or tinted sunscreen. Lumecca IPL stimulates collagen production helping to decrease fine lines and tighten pores. You will also notice a brightening of your skin and this is known as a photo facial.
How many treatments are needed?
It is not uncommon to need 1-3 treatments for optimum results. If treating Rosacea, more sessions may be required.
How much does a Lumecca treatment cost?
Lumecca treatments can be performed on any area of the body where sundamage and age spots have developed. Pricing differs depending on the area treated. Treatments start at $300. When you come in for a consultation, a personalized plan will be discussed with you based on your specific concerns. There is special package pricing available.
